There is a public boat ramp downtown, and Mahay's Riverboat Service provides jet
boat service to the best fishing grounds. The Kings run in mid- July, silvers and reds a bit later.
Flights to remote lakes are available, as well.
Alaska Bush Float Plane flies out of Fish Lake, just a mile and half away!

Off Road/ATV Adventures
Black Bear ATV Adventures provide guided trips off the beaten track.
Talkeetna is the starting point for all climbs on Mt McKinley (Denali). Climbers must register with the Park Service office downtown before being flown to the lower base camp. Visit the Talkeetna Ranger Station to see informative programs about the park and check the status of climbers on the mountain.

A regional trail system and nearby state and national parks provide a number of hiking and camping opportunities. Near town you'll find X-Y Lakes trails. A 14-mile paved bike path connects Talkeetna and the Parks Highway. The bike path is right in front of our cabins!
